Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult with the exception of our Spring and Summer STEM camps. Regular business hours and all other events require adult supervision.

Summer STEM Camp: Ocean Gyres
Two sessions July 4th through 6th and July 11th through 17th. Join us for a three day STEM camp where we will learn about ocean gyres. Check our event page for more information.

Homeschoolers Science Club – Currently meeting at the Independence Public Library
Independence Science and Technology Center, Inc
is a hands-on exhibits and activities center that provides special programs through out the year. See our life sized Deinonychus, Komodo Dragon, Dodo bird, and have Albert Einstein greet you at the door. There is a play room for the preschool age children with a puppet stage and Thomas the train set up. A larger HO train set is on display. The Van der Graaf will make your hair stand on end and the Anti-gravity simulator will give you a spin. Area schools are encouraged and welcome to schedule an educational field trip.

Field trips and group tours can be scheduled anytime during the day.
